Position requires minimum 7-12 Principal Licensure. 227 day work year with 11 holidays. 90% employer paid health insurance, fully paid dental coverage, $35,000 life insurance, 17 sick days per year cumulative to max of 90. School Social Worker

Independent School District #2711 is seeking an individual to perform the duties of School Social Worker. The School Social Worker is responsible for providing services to students and families to help students increase their ability to function optimally and enhance learning. Collaborates with student support network (e.g., educational team, parents, and community agencies) to address the students’ academic, emotional, and social needs. Works toward enhancing and fostering positive relations among the student, school, community, and parents. Assesses needs and counsels students and families individually and in groups regarding social, emotional, behavioral and mental health interventions needed to enhance learning.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree, one to three years of work experience, certification as a LGSW, LISW, LICSW, or LSW, and licensed or able to obtain a license from the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board as a School Social Worker.

Compensation

The salary is covered under the agreement with Education Minnesota Mesabi East Local #1255 with benefits including health, dental and life.

Literacy Tutor -- MN Reading Corps

Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with students during school hours throughout the school year. No matter if you’re a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent or retiree, you can make a great tutor. No experience? No problem. Minnesota Reading Corps provides comprehensive training in strategies proven to help students learn, so tutors are well equipped to help students grow.

Perks as A Tutor

• Receive a stipend every two weeks
• Earn up to $4,200 for college tuition or student loans. Tutors 55 and older may gift the award to their child, grandchild, stepchild or foster child.
